Looking ahead is much easier from this height! This is a new style I have been playing with in oils on clayboard. Way fun! Like painting with butter on glass.Yes she has extra fingers. My daughter drew hands like that as a child, with many fingers that continued to the edge of the page. I have been thinking of her lately.
This is what we are dipping into this month... maple syrup. This is a sap bucket painted for a client. How should I be paid? With maple syrup, of course!
I am a children's book illustrator and I live in Vermont with my husband, two cats, and some chickens, some guinea hens and two sheep. I love spending time with my kids, working with farm animals, biking, playing my guitar (badly) and traveling with my husband. But most of all I love writing and making pictures in my studio.
